From… Through… But Always for His glory and Our good

Reflection for June 20, 2023

Reading: Romans 8:37-39

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In it’s chapter context, Paul assured his readers of the future glory that God prepared for those whom He saved through the finish work of Christ on the cross. God, in His kindness, who chose to save us from sin and its power is the same God who will sustain us with His future grace.

Our confidence rests from the undying and unchanging “… love of God to us in Christ Jesus our Lord(v39).” As He saved us from His wrath and the power of sin and does what no human can do- forgave us from our sins and brought us to a living and loving relationship with Him through the finish work of Christ, how much more will He saved us from anything in this world?

The testimonies of the scriptures show to us that God always save His people from anything, and through any difficulties, that always lead for His glory and for our good. God in His faithfulness cannot be unfaithful to His unfaithful people for He cannot be unfaithful to Himself.

So whatever difficulties you have right now, trust Him for He will see you through. God will be in control in your darkest hour and He will always be with you.

Paul David Tripp once said, “Your rest is not to be found in figuring out your life but in trusting the One who has it all figured out for your good and for His glory.”

I remembered you and your family in prayer today.
