“Thank you Church family!” — this was our shout of thanksgiving as we ended our CEF General Assembly for the month of July. This shout of gratitude is rooted in what Christ has done to purchase His church through His blood shed on the cross.
The theme of our general assembly is “The Beauty of Church Family” and we all had a great time of worship, listening to God’s message and fellowship.
We started the gathering with a short game called “Bible Emoji”, it’s a simple game yet challenging as the participants need to guess who are the bible characters being described by different emojis. At the end of the game, the members of Sector 1 won. Congratulations!
After the simple game, we had a great time of worshipping God as we recognized that He alone is worthy to be praised in all our gatherings. We sang songs focused on the “Greatness of God” and “His Amazing Love” for sinners like us. After the worship, we listen to God’s Word intently as Pastor Jeff explained faithfully 1 John 4:7-12 for us to understand the biblical love of God in us that should be expressed by loving one another as John emphasized in 1 John 4:12 to love one another.
Before we end, testimonies from different individuals from the 4 sectors had been heard by everyone. Each one of them testified their thanksgiving to God for giving them a church family who have been with them and never let them feel alone in every battle of their lives. Truly, “the church is the dearest place on earth”.
Thank you Lord for our church family.
