We have heard of precious metals like that of gold & silver,& precious stones like diamonds.
But what made a diamond “precious” than the rest of the stones? We have common stones with no ‘value’ at all, then we have gem stones like verdite, turquoise, amazonite, pietersite etc that has value.
The difference between a gemstone & a precious stone is in it’s crystalline material & thats where emerald, sapphire, ruby & diamond comes in.
The word ‘precious’ deals about more than it’s beauty but also its scarcity- it’s rare & above any other.
The apostle Peter used the same definition when he penned“18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (1 Peter 1)
The blood of Christ is distinct for there is no other Christ than Jesus of Nazareth.
He ALONE is the Son of God. (John 3:16)
He ALONE is The Way to heaven. (John 14:6)
He ALONE is The Lamb of God Who will take away the sins of man. (John 1:29)
He ALONE died on the cross for our sins. (1 Cor15:3)
He ALONE rose from the dead to conquer sin & death (1 Thes4:14) & He ALONE declared I AM COMING BACK AGAIN. (John 14:3)
The precious blood of Jesus Christ redeemed us from the curse of sin & death & restored us in a new relationship with God our Father. Find your forgiveness & peace in this everlasting truth.
