Anxious Or Conscious Of The Father’s Care

Jesus said in Matthew 6:25-27, “25

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? In this season full of uncertainties, it’s either we succumbed ourselves in the dungeon of anxiety or we liberate ourselves from it and live a life of tranquility. Our children never thinks about our utility bills, the cost of food or groceries, and the like because they are confident of their father’s (and mother’s) care for them. In the same manner, we all have a Heavenly Father Who cares for us beyond our imagination. He is The Father unto us both in the merit of creation and redemption. Jesus emphasized this in our passage by saying, “…yet your Heavenly Father feeds them.

Are you not much more valuable than they?”(v26) Other scriptures that show our Father’s care…

• Isaiah 41:10- Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

• Psalm 55:2- Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

• Hebrews 13:6- So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

• 1 Peter 5:7- Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Praying that you will not be anxious today but rather you will choose to be conscious of The Father’s care…

His grace is enough.
