God…from beginning to end

God , in His mercy and grace, assured Israel that He will fulfill His promised land for them.

Though there will be great challenges along the way, He promised that He will sustain them and keep them.

Then Moses declared this to the whole Israel, “It is a land the Lord your God CARES FOR; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR to IT’S END.”(Deuteronomy 11:12).

What an assurance as we all face this new year! The Chinese believed that 2021 is a year of rebuilding. The Indians believed that 2021 will create strength and new beginnings. For Muslims, it will be a march of hopeful year. As a Christian, I will rest my confidence in God alone Who holds His creation on His hands and this world as His footstool (Hebrews 1:3, Isaiah 66:1). He is our God Who establishes His providence through His sovereignty.

• Jeremiah 29:11-14- 11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.

• Psalm 62:4-5- “Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.” In tough and uncertain times, it can be difficult to look beyond what’s currently happening in your life and see the light at the end of the tunnel. Whether you’re going through a big life change, a hard time for your family, or personal health concerns, a mind focus on God can help you see a difficult challenge as an opportunity for gratitude. When you’re feeling low, talk to Him, Who created heavens and earth, in prayer and see the silver linings in your hardships.

I remembered you in prayer today.
